Before anything else, I would like to give my heartfelt gratitude and love to everyone who is in the front line and in the fight against Coronavirus /COVID-19 from all over the world.
It is no longer breaking news that the coronavirus pandemic is spreading throughout the whole world. Some countries have been hit very hard when others haven’t.
Despite the differences in the number of people infected by Coronavirus in different countries these one thing that we all have in common: coronavirus or COVID-19 affects us all.
It doesn’t matter whether you’ve actually been infected or not. Our lives have changed drastically. Except for essential workers and Frontline caregivers:
Doctors, Nurses, Janitors, Ambulance Drivers, the list is endless, lots of people have to stay home, self-isolating, social distancing, in quarantine to curb the spread of the virus.
We all know how stressful it can be to have to stay at home for long periods of time. That’s why I decided to share with you these simple ways on how to survive in a Coronavirus quarantine situation so that you don’t lose your mind.

#1. Avoid Being Too Isolated If You Are Staying Alone
Too much isolation can have a very negative impact on your mental and emotional well-being. Maintain Constant Contact with your friends and family by calling and Face Timing.
If possible take a walk in your neighborhood. This will not only be a great exercise for your body but it will also clear your mind.
#2. Stay Away From Too Much TV Especially The News
I am not suggesting that watching TV is bad for you but watching too much news can’t really be bad because a lot of news these days is bad news and that can have a negative impact on your emotions. It’s important to watch the news but in short bursts just to get an idea of what is going on around you.
I personally use meditation (Not For Religion) to help me reduce stress and fight anxiety. I find meditation especially helpful during this covid 19 pandemic period.
There is so much uncertainty, so much loss, grieve. Not knowing how long the coronavirus pandemic is going to last, or how long you have to stay indoors, what the future holds. All these and many more can wreak havoc on your brain.

#4. Maintain A Physically Fit Body
This will depend on your current level of fitness. You don’t have to be a pro in anything. You just need to move your body. These are some of the exercises you can do. Physicall exercise has lots of benefits.
- Helps you avoid gaining unwanted weight
- Improves your mood
- Reduces stress
- Reduces chances of high blood pressure
- Improves your immunity
- Helps you fight illness

Dancing is easy. Just play your favorite music and get moving.
